BELPER

This historic mill town set on the River Derwent contains a wide range of shops and services. It is well worth visiting the town's beautiful river gardens and park or the Amber valley Visitor’s Centre to find out about Belper’s mill heritage.

ASHBOURNE

The town offers a mix of modern and old shops, pubs and restaurants. Not to be missed is the annual Shrovetide football match where one half of the town plays the other half of the town at "football", using the town and surrounding countryside as the playing field, with the 2 goals being 3 miles apart.

NATIONAL TRAMWAY MUSEUM

Here you can indulge yourself and the family in a throwback to a bygone age. On entry you are given pennies to spend on the historic trams which travel along lines past authentic buildings of our forebears. We can truly witness what life was like in a time before the car was commonplace and life took on its hectic pace. Visit the web site and download the virtual tour before you go.

AMERICAN ADVENTURE
